Easy Recipe for Waffles

This is an easy recipe for waffles perfect for breakfast or snack with any topping of choice.

- 150 grams plain flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- pinch salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 tablespoons neutral oil
- 235 ml milk (we used plant-based milk)
- splash vanilla extract
Sift the flour in a large mixing bowl followed by the baking powder, baking soda and salt then sugar.
Whisk the dry ingredients to mix.
In a medium mixing bowl, combine the wet ingredients.
Add the wet ingredients to the dry.
Mix until there are no more lumps left. But do not overmix.
Leave on the kitchen table or counter for up to an hour.
Preheat the waffle iron.
Spoon a mixture in each section of the waffle iron. Make sure not overfill.
Close the lid and let cook.
Take out the waffles when cooked and lay them on the cooling rack to prevent condensation.
