EASY HOMEMADE TONKATSU SAUCE

Quick and easy, kid-friendly, sweet and savory tonkatsu sauce for fried chicken or pork cutlets, croquettes and even as barbeques sauce.

- 1 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Measure all the ingredients.
In a small bowl or container, add all the ingredients.
Stir or whisk vigorously to combine, making sure the sugar is dissolved and the ketchup is incorporated.
Do a taste test and adjust the amount of ingredients to your liking.
Notes:
- Make the sauce 30 minutes before use or make the night before as the flavor will develop overnight.
- Add onion or garlic powder to make more savory.
- Use vegan Worcestershire sauce to make it vegan-friendly.
