How to make chicken salad
This is basically a chop the chicken and vegetables, measure the juice and sauce then mix them all together in a bowl. Make sure to taste and adjust the seasoning and the salad is ready.
Substitutions
- If you can’t find shallots, slice red or brown onion thinly.
- Use soy sauce in place of fish sauce.
- Poached chicken, roast beef or turkey will work great too.

Leftover Chicken Salad
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp fish sauce
- 1/2 t sugar
- 1 t garlic, minced
- 50 g chicken
- 50 g tomato, sliced
- 1 pc chili, sliced
- 2 pcs shallots, sliced
- 1/2 c cabbage, chopped
- coriander
Instructions
- Measure the lemon juice and fish sauce.
- Prepare the aromatics, meat and vegetables.
- In a medium-size bowl, combine the lemon juice, fish sauce, sugar, chili, garlic and shallots.
- Add in the chicken, cabbage and tomatoes.
- Mix to coat the meat and vegetables with the dressing.
- Sprinkle coriander and serve.
