Soft-boiled egg – feel free to replace it with hard-boiled, poached or fried eggs or fried, poached or grilled salmon or tuna
Avocado – fresh avocado will be best
Furikake – top with dried bonito flakes, dried seaweed, chopped green onions or season with soy sauce, chilli sauce, toasted sesame seeds or salt and pepper
How to make Avocado and Egg Bowl
As it only calls for a few ingredients, make sure to use fresh, quality ingredients available.
Gather all the ingredients and assemble them in a bowl. To a rice bowl, add a serving of steamed rice. Top with blanched vegetables on one side, place slices of avocado on one side, and top with egg.

Avocado and Egg Bowl
Ingredients
- 1 cup steamed rice hot, freshly steamed or reheated
- 1/2 cup blanched vegetables broccoli, carrots
- 1/2 avocado sliced, diced or cubed
- 1 soft-boiled egg sliced in half, hard-boiled, poached or fried
- furikake soy sauce, salt and pepper, chilli sauce to taste
Instructions
- Gather all the ingredients. Assemble them in a bowl. To the bowl, add the rice and top with the vegetables on one side, with the avocado on the other and egg in the center.
- Sprinkle with furikake and serve.
