Avocado chocolate mousse is a delightful snack or dessert made with a handful of ingredients in minutes. A blend of avocado, ground hazelnut, chocolate powder, honey, vanilla extract and milk of choice will surely hit the sweet spot.

Avocado – fresh and ripe avocado
Ground hazelnuts – I like the crunch it adds but if you cannot have nuts try topping it with berries or sauces
Chocolate powder – use unsweetened chocolate powder, if using sweetened chocolate adjust the sweetener to your liking and feel free to use cacao powder too
Honey – replace with sugar or maple syrup
Vanilla extract – leave out if unavailable
Milk – use dairy or plant-based milk
How to make the mousse
Combine all the ingredients in a blender or food processor. Blend until completely smooth. Scoop in serving bowls. Chill in the fridge for a minimum of 30 minutes. Enjoy.
How to serve avocado chocolate mousse
It is best to serve the mousse chilled because the texture will diminish when warmed.
Top with whipped cream, shaved chocolate, fresh berries, drizzle with caramel or salted caramel sauce, chopped nuts or just as it is. Enjoy your mousse however you like.
Storage and Leftovers
Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.

- Keep the mixing bowl and whisk attachment of the blender cold if you are in a warm environment especially when you would eat the mousse straight away.
- Use unsweetened cocoa powder and if you are going to use sweetened chocolate or cocoa powder adjust the honey or any sweetener so that the mousse will not be too sweet.
